I want to create a World Salary table for Control-M personal. I mean, what is the average salary recomended for this 3 kinds of roles (2009) :
- 7x24 Operator (auxiliar) - not professional formation requred
Person working in Control-M, making only monitoring of the entirely batch window.
Colombia : Average --> US$400 / month
- Explotation (engineer) - professional.
Person working development shell and programming jobs in CTM.
Colombia Average --> US$ 1100 / month
- Administrator (engineer) - professional.
Person working in infraestructure, machines, resource, hardware,
instalation of agents, configuración aft account. All related to
control-m backend infraestructure.
Colombia Average --> US$ 1100 / month
- Architect (engineer) - professional IT.
Person who knows the businness, can design the batch window
and propose solutions to 'explotation' personas. Make procedures (text)
for 7x24 operators in case of errors. And can take future decitions
about infrastructure and licensing adquisitions for Control-M
Colombia Average --> US$ 3000 / month
and just for make comparison with other countries. You can include the 'minimum salary' in your countries. Colombia --> US$250
Teh result may be as follows :
Colombia
7x24 operator : US$ 400
Explotation : US$ 1100
Administrator : US$ 1100
Architect : US$3000
Minimun salary : US$250
this can help every body to 'valorate' your work, and to know other oportunities of job in other countries.

Hi,
Part of the issue is the different living costs and exchange rate differences. Here in Switzerland the figures you quote would be 50%-100% higher (and the lower levels would be much higher). However $250 would not get you very far in Zurich and you have to balance a minimum salary of maybe $3,000 per month (after tax) against the fact that rent would take half of that amount.
Also, European contract rates can often be much higher than the Americas. I once got a call from a US agent who was very excited by a short-term project in Washington DC that was paying up to $90 an hour. In Europe this figure would be considered low. Although, another factor, European tax tends to be higher.

certainly....
certainly we have very different kind of scales. In that case, i put 'minimum salary' that is recognized as the minimum salary to any persona (not only system engineering). It applies to bus driver, technicians, etc. any kind of job. With the minimun salary we can promediate and take averages specific for each country.
For example, in our country (Colombia), the minimun salary is US$250 american dollars. With this money, we can live at least. With this salary you never will buy a car or an apartament. this amount only can be used to buy some food (not to much) and pay for a living room and no more.
In this case, we can make a table comparison from minimun salary and say :
- an operator gains 1.8 salaries.
- an explotator gains 2.2 salaries.
- an administrator gains 2.2 salaries
- an arquitect (ctm) gains 5.9 salaries

Control-M Contract to Perm Rates in USA
I am US living in UK with intentions of moving back to the US this year 2009. So far what I have managed ot find out is for contracts in the US the hourily rates will vary some but I have seen from $40.00 to $70.00 per hour for the range. Perm on the other hand will be as high as $110,000.00 per year. Here in the Uk the contact rates will vary as well but lately it seems no more than the £400.00 per day and perm is around the £50,000 to £60,00 for admin or sr roles to only @ £30,000 for more jr. roles
