Job does not end immediately after completion

Post by sunitha » 28 Aug 2008 10:19

Hi,

Though my job completed, the command status does set to complete and turn green. It takes sometime for it to turn green on one of the machines.

This is a complete windows job.

After going through forums I used the following statements in my bat file:

1) _exit 0

2) "c:\Program Files\BMC Software\CONTROL-M Agent\UTIL\_exit.exe"

but they do not seem to work. I observed the control-m job process terminates in the task manager.

How can I forcefully come out of control-m command by sending the pass and fail result back to the server.

Thanks,
Sunitha

Hi,

It could be Control-m Agent issue.

Verify correct level of service pack.
Stop ans start Control-M Agent services and try again.

This can happen with certain mismatches in the comversion. Verify that your agent comversion configuration on the agent and server match and are correct. Also, this can happen if the agent can't communicate back to the scheduling server. You'll want to verify that there is no firewall restrictions between the two servers and that the port settings in the CONFIG.dat are correct.

I hope this helps.

Hi people,

I encounter a similar problem with agent 6.3.01.300 on Windows Server 2003 (AMD64).
After analysis there is a process C:\WINDOWS\system32\mode.com whith command line mode con:cp select=1252 was launched.
If you kill this process, the job ends properly under Control-M.

In my situation, 'Radmin Server 3.2' is installed on the server and seems to create a problem if someone is remotely connected when the job is submitted by Control-M.

Please read this : http://www.radmin.com/support/forum/rea ... &TID=12867

Perhaps it's necessary to open a case with BMC.
I uninstall Radmin Server 3.2 and re-install version Radmin Server 2.2, after this the Control-M/Agent work correcty.

I hope this helps
Regards
Walty
