FDATE Utililty

Post by mattma » 01 Dec 2006 2:10

Hi guys,

Can any of you enlighten me on a small issue i have with ctm jobs not ending correctly.

For example i have a job that calls a script using the fdate utlity, basically each day we have a ctm job that creates a folder with a date stamp for that day then a following job populates that folder with info.

Now the ctm job creates the folder correclty and populates it but the ctm job does not recognise that the job has finished so it just hang, therefore we never get to the of the batch strand!

The script works fine when not scheduled through ctm.

We have checked the error codes and they are correct

Any solutions would be gratefull!

Matt

Hi,

What version and system you use?
If your version is at the minimum 6.1.03, you need to verify if the tracker is up.

Under Windows it's a service and it needs to be launched with Control-M agent service.(with the same account..)

Verify which tcp port is used by the tracker. It could be used by another process. If it's the case, use agent configurateur to modify it.
