Failed to initialized

Post by epsilon » 02 Sep 2007 1:18

hello,

After a restart of Controlm (6.2.0.1), some batchs whose ?owner? has the rights ?ctmsrv? in order to place from the orders , example : ?ctmcontb - DELETE xxx? aborted with the error ?Failed to initialized?
a new restart of the agent and controlm did not change anything
thank you for your answers

yeah, nice to read english from you ;)

So if i understand, you run this command from agent on server?

Can you not to run only ctmcontb -delete XXX (or ctmcontb)? How about the other commands.
Can you run this command from another agent?
Are you running on win or unix?

Haven't you change settings to the full security?

hi,

the applicatif's owner cannot send many of order controlm
that arrives 1 time out of 2 after each restart of the agent controlm
the variable's controlm of owner are ok
this is bizarre because isn't a persistant mistake ??

which environment are you running on?
(UNIX, Windows)
First check for latest updates for agent and server.

have you the latest fixpack for server?
Does this problem occure when the server is restarted, but after next restart, the problem disapears?
Try to run the "prf" command on server under the ctmsrv user, when the problem presents.
you must see something like:
All of the Procnames have to be in R state.
I think that SL (or LG) process is responsible for handling the agent utilities's calling.
PROCNAME PROCID PROCSTAT PSTAT_REQ SLEEP_TIME DIAG_LVL
SU 700548 R R 60 0
CO 733346 R R 60 0
CD 749722 R R 60 0
SL 761972 R R 5 0
TR 766072 R R 5 0
NS 774268 R R 30 0
LG 782468 R R 360 0
RT 708722 R R 30 0
WD 794760 R R 360 0
Can you run utilities from other agents?

It can be. I do not manage this test server for a long time. I just run this command.
So epsilon, write the output of prf here.

How the standard output looks like? (question for philmalmaison)

cs is just about user requests from ECS
no flag for it
if you have a bad status you should see the following :
PROCNAME PROCID PROCSTAT PSTAT_REQ SLEEP_TIME DIAG_LVL
CD 21176 T T 60 0
CO 21199 T R 60 0
LG 21178 R R 360 0
NS 21180 R R 120 0
SL 21182 R R 60 0
SU 21167 R T 60 0
TR 21184 R R 30 0
CO is not in Run status
