Agent Router

Post by Dylanesque » 07 Dec 2009 5:21

I can't get Configuration Manager to discover one of my agents on XP as the Control-m router keeps failing on startup with error 1067.

The Service is running under a domain account with local admin rights so not sure where the problem is.

I noticed the following in the log..

1207 16:18:29:26 ctmar_service_server:CFG_parse: persistent connection is set to 'N'. exiting.
1207 16:18:29:26 ctmar_service_serverInit: The agent is configured to transient mode. Router service is not needed.
1207 16:18:29:26 ctmar_service_server:AR process exiting.

I tried to get control-M Server to use persitant connection but it can't find my agent !

Normally you don't need the router component running unless there is a firewall between the Control-M Server and Agent.

Thanks Mark, stil can't get it to connect...have set up debug but nothing out of the ordinary.

The host is XP and the agent is running under a domain account which is a member of the local admin Group.

It seems I can add it but the agent state is unavailable..(despite being set to persistant) The control-M listener service is running and there is no firewall in the way so not sure where the problem is..
