We run agents on RH EL5. Quite a few in fact, with no outstanding issues.

I've installed a full Control-M 6.4 environment with all latest fixpacks on RHEL 5 Server

Also installed full Control-M 6.3 (Sybase) environment with latest fixpacks on RHEL 4 AS with no worries.

I'm sure 6.3 will have no problems going on RHEL5 just make sure Check_Req.sh is happy otherwise you might have problems in the middle of installation.

The only thing I needed to do was set "uname -n 2048" and kernel.shmmax = 2147483648

this was all done on a VM with only 512MB of Memory and x86 processor.

sorry disregard the above message. I got a bit carried away talking about the whole Control-M environement.

6.3 Agent will run fine on RHEL5 EL :)

I know that Redhat 5.1, 5.2 & 5.3 versions are not supported.

The PAC charts on the BMC site have the supported OS lists (in great detail). Most things are supported by version 6.4.x.
