Hi, is it possible to migrate all jobs from TWS to Control-M 7? Is it time consuming? Is there any tool that can be used to do this migration smoothly?

Hi,
Control/M EM sp 4 has a Conversion tool that now support converting job from TWS.
I never used it, so I don't know if it works well.

Migrating From TWS to Control-M

As a company providing value added solutions for multiple scheduling systems (see www.apsware.com ), including TWS and Control-M, we know the internals of the different schedulers very well. We have used this knowledge for multiple conversions in the past.

In case you are interested to learn more, please feel free to contact us:
http://www.apsware.com/contact-us/

In most cases, a TWS to Control-M conversion is not too difficult.
You may use the conversion tools from BMC or more sopisticated solutions from us.
What is important from our point of view before you go into a conversion:
Spend time in analyzing what you have today in TWS and clean-out thinks that are not worth converting. That makes your conversion plan better, takes less time in the conversion and after the conversion you can maintain the converted schedules in an easier and more cost effective way.

For doing the TWS analysis, we recommend looking at VISUALjob for TWS:

VISUALjob is also available for Control-M:
