Dependency Job unable to get it work as expected

Post by niras » 04 Jan 2011 6:52

I have JobA and JobB.JobB is dependent on JobA's success.Runs through MON to SAT
We have NDP defined at +0000 hrs.

Job A starts at 2330 and can finish before 0000 hrs or may contnue to run beyond 0000 hrs.

when out Condition(ODAT) of JobA is In condition to JobB and when JobA finishes within that day(i.e by 0000 hrs),JobB runs fines.

However, when JobA continues to run after NDP(i.e at +0000),JobB doesnot get kicked off when JobA ends sometime after 0000 hrs.

I tried to use STAT condition but not working as expected.

Please suggest who to create dependency on JObA and JobB so that when ever JobA finishes,JobB has to run

why don't you make Job A to force Job B on completion in the steps tab instead of conditions based.

Are both job A and B scheduled in prior to New Day?
Also check that the > is being used in the time field.
Using this means that it will run after New Day when dependancies are met.

Hope these help.
