•Why control-m saves a old order ID for failed jobs and creates a new Order ID for the same jobs every day after (DAY TIME +) jobs ..

is by the below or not ?

- Maximum Days Retained by CONTROL-M Log : #
- Maximum Days to Retain Sysout Files : #

no
jobs KO even staying after NewDayProcedure
jobs that didn't run too
and jobs that having a maxwit parameter > 0

Maximum Days Retained by CONTROL-M Log is the cleanup parameter in day for CMR_IOALOG
Maximum Days to Retain Sysout Files is the cleanup parameter in day for agents sysout.

Order ID is unique for a job when loaded in EM. Every day when Job Definitions are loaded in EM during Newday procedure a unique Order ID will be assigned to each job.

Jobs that have failed will remain in Active schedule untill the MAX WAIT period specified on the job.
