Control-M server and EM componets connection drops!!!

Hi,

Issue:
I have control-M/server and control-m/ EM server components installed on the same machine.Yesterday ,as soon as I added another IP on the same NIC card,entire components (including remote agents) comminication was lost and server was down!!

Reason to add another IP:
We need this another IP to run another application on same machine.

Action taken:
we added the new IP to windows host config file and restarted the services which didnot solve the issue.
Had to remove this newly added IP to revert the changes and notice all services being up.

Question: How to maintain entire control-M communication even after adding a new IP to the NIC in my case.

SOLVED:

on my windows 2008 server where control-M is running,I added a higher IP address as my another IP than the existing IP.

i.e say my default IP is xx.xx.x.53

didnot work-----when I added xx.xx.x.50

WORKED--------when I added xx.xx.x.60
