Swithing the Servers

Post by Venkateshwarulu » 01 Oct 2009 6:00

Hi,

I have 2 datacenters (DATACENTER D1 & DATACENTER D2) and both the datacenters will have dedicated agents D1A1, D1A2 D1A3 & D2A1 D2A2, D2A3.

I migrated all the jobs from D2 to D1 and I want to run all the jobs from the DATACENTER D1 by turning off the DATACENTER D2. But we are not turning off the agents and they should be active. That means we have to run all the jobs on all the agents from the DATACENTER D1.

If this testing doen't work then I have to bring the DATACENTER D2 back to normal. So what are steps that needs to followed here?

Thanks for time and replies.

Regards
Venkat

As I understand:
You just need to redirect the agents from Datacenter 2 to Datacenter 1 - by changing the CM-Server Host or adding Datacenter 1 to Allowed CM server hosts.
Discover these agents on Datacenter 1 CM-Server.
Then copy/move/migrate the job definitions from Datacenter 2 to Datacenter 1 and do not forget to add 'cmudly' for these jobs table.
