Need help , Can't registe new Control-M on another machine

Hi All

I have a problem with identify new Control-M Server 6.2 on another machine by using Configuration Manager 6.3.

After set configuration for Gateway, it display in status column 'X' and have a message in the message column "EM Configuration Agent Not Available" and tried in different ways but nothing change.

Any one have faced this problem before ? Or can help me to register this new Server.

Hi,

I fact on Control-EM Server with root_menu you must start

CONTROL-M/EM Configuration Agent and
CONTROL-M Configuration Server

After that, you must declare with yout Control-M Configuration Manager Gui the new Gateway.

But, be carefull about the TCP port used to communicate between Control-EM and the Control-M Server.

It must be the same than the TCP port declared on your Control-M Server configuration :

EM Gateway Port : 2372

Rasto is right.
There is no configuration manager in v. 6.2.
see the 6.3. version ctm_menu -> 1 ->
5 - Start CONTROL-M/Server Configuration Agent
9 - Stop CONTROL-M/Server Configuration Agent

and

6.2. there is nothing like this.

fyot is right, i do the test.
i've installed a new 6.1.03 controlm server, and connect a new gateway wich is up and connected now
So you can have what you want
Configuration agent is for the agent automaticly installed with controlm server
i'll send picture by mail
