Post by rickycrave » 08 Jun 2009 5:33

Hello friends,

Could any one tell me where we can check the logs of Control-M server if any one restarted and also if the agent on the Control-m server is disabled and enabled by some one, then how can we track these logs from Control-m server.

My Control-M server ver is 6.3.0.1 on IBM AIX server.

I will be much thankfull...if any one knows abt it...

Also let me know if you need further information regarding this issue....

Regards,
Ricky.

logs of your control-M server

Hello Ricky,

Hope you are doing well!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can find the information regarding the control-M server start and stop from this path <HOME>/ctm_server/proclog.save.

Regarding the agent disabled and enabled logs you need to configure the audits first.

If you want any other information feel free to reply back. :)

Regards,

Satish.

Hi, in addition you can use the ctmlog command to look for specific messages (run on the Control-M server). For instance -

ctmlog LISTMSG 5220 090604 0400 090609 2000

will show all agents changed to available in the specified timeframe. For your specific query the command would be -

ctmlog LISTMSG 5223 090604 0400 090609 2000

this will show an agent being disabled and -

ctmlog LISTMSG 5222 090604 0400 090609 2000 - is unavailable

and -

ctmlog LISTMSG 5330 090604 0400 090609 2000 - is request failed

Better still - just use the ctmlog command to list all and grep out the agent that interests you.

Hi All,

Thanks for you immediate responses. Also inadditon to the above queries,
I am having another one i.e. where can we check the logs if the CONTROL-M/Server Configuration Agent is down?

Please send me solution ASAP if you are aware, because the control-m server was manually down by some one in our enviroment. I want to track the information through these logs.

Thank you so much.

Regards,
Ricky
