Hi

Control-M provides a tool named Report Facility to extract job status.
But result is not so clear.

Another external too will arrive at the end of the mont named APS Manager Console, providing a portal to see Active Job Files, and of course jobs status.

You could extract view and save as HTML formt ready to send to your client.

A new feature will be add to extract and send automatically the result ready to be sent.

If you want more detail, go to APS enterprise site, seeing APS Manager for Control-M.

Thanks

Yes, absolutly.
You will be able to manage as with your GUI, using simply your browser.
No need to install something on your desktop.

emreportcli is also good tool.
You can use it in batch mode, create report about jobs status in PDF format and mail it to the user. All in CONTROL-M batch workflow. :)

Hi

As Dilbert said, emreportcli exists and could be install on your desktop during Gui installation.

About APS Manager,

APS Manager Console for the moment will be installed on a Web Server under Windows.

It could join APS Manager installed on Control-M Server installed under Windows, Linux, AIX, HP-UX and Solaris plateforms.

So if you just need to have an AJF view and be able to create a report, APS Manager Console will be enough.
Link with APS Manager will be necessary, if you want to provide a way to manage active jobs from APS Manager Console.

Hi

THanks for your reply. Since we install Ctrl-M on unix, Could we install Ctrl-M GUI on desktop to monitor and create the report of job status?

For APS manager, what's the advantage of it , comparing with Ctrol-M monitor and report function?

Thanks
Sherry
