Exception calendar?

Post by stelios » 07 Oct 2011 4:01

Hi to all,

I need to schedule a job for all the working days of the year using Control-M Desktop. Is there any way that I can define a calendar containing ONLY the holidays of the year, schedule the job in the Week Days section for days from Monday to Friday, for all months, and somehow schedule the job NOT to run on the days defined in the Holidays calendar? That way, each year, the scheduler will have to adjust only the Holidays calendar.

Thank you in advance

Hi stelios,

you can use the "confirmation calendar" in the Scheduling tab

Thanks for your reply Jean-Michel!

I understand that the Confirmation Calendar is the calendar that helps Control-M to decide when to execute a job if, for some reason, the job is not executed on the originally scheduled date (for example, shift the job to the next working date defined in the ConfCal).

How do you suggest to use this option? How would I be able to postpone the job from executing, using the ConfCal option? Can you elaborate on that please?
