I've upraded my environemt from 6.1.03 to 6.3.01 on AIX 5.2

the SMTP-configuration works fine, but now i receive for every generated email an U_CTMMAIL.>PID>.log file in the proclog directory of the ctm-server.

have somebody an idea, why? how can i supresss it,because we are using DO-MAIL and mail via SHOUT-destination ver often.

Thanks

The files "U_CTMMAIL.>PID>.log" that i have esperienced are written only if there were errors. So resolved the errors, there isnt files.
What is reported in these files?

in the meantime resolving your problem, only create a daily job to remove that king of messages ...

This file is generated, if the SMTP-Server is not available, I knew it. Because CONTROL-M tries only once to send the mail.

does somebody knows a "hidden" parameter to configure retries for sending mails via control-M? Or can we configure the mailing in the "old way" like it has worked in release 6.1.03?

Remove script is running from the beginning

The problem is that the server of relay is not always disponible !
Why is this happens?

You can control if the server is disponible by a scritp and put a resource "MAIL" in manner that all the jobs that send e-mails dont send them, when the server is up the resource is restored.
