Order/Force with Hold disable.

Post by futre25 » 09 May 2011 5:14

Hi to all.

I have a small problem or question.

Since last week I have disabled the option 'Order/Force with Hold' when I force a table or job. Why?. I have not changed anything.

Some jobs are needed to force with this option.
Where you enable/disable this option.

Thanks for your help.

futre25,

Please be a bit more detailed in your explanations.
You say “I have disabled …” then “I have not changed anything” in the same line, which is what I would call a contradiction.

What are exactly the symptoms?
Under which environment do you observe the problem: desktop, EM GUI, ctmorder, daily … ?

The force is an option (check box) you may specify when ordering a job or table under the desktop. I am not aware that force option can be restricted to those users which are allowed to order jobs or tables.
The force option is an optional parameter (-force y) you may specify when calling the ctmorder utility to order jobs or tables.

Depending on the version (sure for 6.3.0 and above), you may set a specific parameter at the control-m server level, which turns every order request to a force request. This behaviour is certainly not recommended as a general setting, and is not the default.

Cheers
Nicolas Mulot

Hi,
Only Admin-Group will have authorization to edit these options.

Authorizations -> Scheduling Table

You can add specific authorizations to the user.

Hi to all

I think that I explained very bad.

When I want to order or force a table from Order/Force Jobs, the option Order/Force with Hold is disabled. how I can enable...?

I am emuser and the Tools -> Authorizations -> Scheduling Table, I have:

Sheduling Table = * and Access Level = Full in Group Administrations = AdminGroups.

The problem is that I get up and leave jobs to be confirmed, but I have the options disabled, I have to change it every time on your desktop

I hope someone can give me a solution.

Thank you very much everyone for your help and answers.

Hi,

This function is available only on v6.2.01 and later.
Not available with earlier versions (Order/Force with Hold option is grayed out)
Best regards
