Verifying that I can access using Control_M

I am quite new to Control_M and I am having some difficulty.

I can't seem to connect to my remote server. I don't know if it's that I don't know what I doing or if the Control-M agent is not installed correctly on that server.

I do a force job and I get this mesage
Write Table:
-------------
Table GrsCopy was successfully written to CONTROL-M/EM database.

Upload and Order:
----------------------
5700 Scheduling table 'GrsCopy', Jobname 'GrsDoc1'
5701 Job 'GrsDoc1' ordered, memname = 'GrsDoc1', orderno='003ytt'

I am just trying to run a ls -ltr command on the remote server. But when I check that server no command has been executed. I really just want to see if I am actually able to make a connection to the server, is there a better way to do this?

Are you doing this force job from Control-M/Desktop?
If you are then you need to go to Control-M/Manager to see if the job is there and if if ran (turned Green) and you can right click on the job select sysout to see what output it produced.
