Prevent a Job From Ordering on a specific Calendar

Post by Hollins » 11 Aug 2009 7:32

Our shop has both MVS and Open Systems Jobs. How this senerio is accomplished in MVS. First a job is scheduled to run after new day on the selected Calendar entries; it posts a condition which prevents other jobs coded with \ in the first position of in-cod from running for the day. All jobs in MVS which should not run on a particular Calendar I enter \ in the first position of in-condition and job will not run, but will run on other WDAYS which are coded. Does anyone know of method to do this for Non-MVS jobs?

The \ is referred to as logical NOT or inverted" conditions in MVS.

Example I have jobs which run 1,2,3,4,5 but I don't want them to run twice a month dates don't fall on any particular day of week or have any specific pattern, for example I don't want them to run on Aug 7 or 20.

Thank you in advance for any assistance
