Dummy jobs when not scheduled

Post by klethere » 02 Mar 2009 3:27

Hi, not sure if Im the only one with this problem but has anyone found a way of being able to have a single instance of a job which runs normally when scheduled, but when not schedueled still gets ordered in but id dummied?

I have messed around with the overbins but that has too much of an overhead and I dont really want to have two sets of jobs; one for when the jobs does run and another dummy one for when the jobs should not run.

would really be interested to hear what others have done.

use scheduling group functions, jobs in the schedule groups can be on dummy when not runing on the odat, to ensure continuity of the jobs scheduling even when the job is not sched for that day

When using scheduling groups with adjust condition, you might want to check that you have this line in ctm-server's config.dat:
CTM_GROUP_ADJUST_DUMMY Y
