Does anyone know when this will be compatible with 64bit Microsoft servers?

Please contact BMC Tech Support with your request.

I would like to use it for Windows 64-bit, too. I opened a case with Tech Support and they added me to the list.

The guy I spoke with said the more customers that complain about not having it the faster Dev will roll it out.

I contacted them just after I made the thread... Hopefully things will get cracking on their side :D

Can the CM also handle SQL job steps.

We have a few SQL jobs, each with over 10 steps.

Can Control-M run the job as the SQL scheduler does and rerun from step if necessary?

It doesn't make sense to me to create a new job for every step in a SQL job.

Still no update about 64bit windows support.

moreover CONTROL-M/EM 7.0 which is releasing in coming months does not support 64bit windows.

My reply from BMC Support below on 03/24/2011.

"Currently, the Control-M for Databases does not support the Windows 64 bit platform. We have a request to add this support (CAR00041146).
Tentatively, we have planned the next GA of the Control-M for Databases that is scheduled for Q3 this year will have Windows 64 bit support. These plans could change but this is our current estimate.

As a workaround, you can still support 64 bit databases by installing the Control-M for Databases on a 32 bit machine and accessing the database remotely."
