Agent status unavailable

Hi all!
Can anyone tells me in which cases an agent becomes unavailable? I mean, what are the reasons for which an agent becomes unavailable? We use persistent connection behind a firewall. If I've well understood, in this case the communication initiation is one way (from server to agent). Is this a reason why my agent suddenly becomes unavailable?

PS Am I right if, when I put persistent connection to yes, I put Allow_comm_init to no?

hy,
use the debugg mode for the agent, logs will probably more reliable
