No Alert for Agent Down ???

Post by Hubba » 24 Aug 2009 4:10

We receive alerts when our CM cannot communicate with our agents. We have always received alerts. Recently, two of our agents were rebooted and we didn't receive any alert. They both rebooted very quickly. Is there a time parameter default check to check the agents? Could it be that the agent was back up before CM knew it was down?

Using Control-M configuration maneger :

-Click on Control-M Agent
- Click on retry/timeout tab
- Fill desired time in second for 'Check interval' and 'Retry interval'

Other options are available using menu 'Tools', option 'System Parameters' and 'Control-M EM system parameters'.

Currently release 6.3.01. Where are you saying to look under? What type? The GAS, General, GTW server?

You must have at least 3 icons (in windows): 1 for GUI, 1 for Desktop and 1 for Configuration Manager (emccm.exe).

If you're using ctm administration via AIX (unix), use ctmmenu and find this options.

I am in my Configuration Manager. There is a TYPE, NAME , and VALUE fields. Could you specify which one? There is no check interval or retry interval

Thanks for your help. I was generalizing the options, not getting right to the agent.
