Creating new calendars for new year

Post by jdj420 » 13 Aug 2008 10:19

Does anyone have an easy way to create new calendars from existing ones and update them to create the new years calendars without manually having to go and check all boxes accordingly? :?:

it was about exporting calendars to xml file and edit it here (copy section and edit the year).
exportdefcal and defcal utilities can be used for this but:
1) export defcal in xml file
2) edit xml file and modify the value
3) import the calendar with defcal utility

Is usefull if there is many-many calendars, because with the calendar manager, instead, is faster.

These utilities are necessary when you have more then one server, so normally calendars are allineate automatically on all servers.

Thanks for the info mauriziog! I hadn't had time to start looking into the utilities so at least I have a good starting point. If you know does the .xml file actually show calendars or is it a string of 365 characters representing the entire year?
