Trouble with GATEWAY (NO SYNC MESSAGE) ****SOLVED****

Post by rich_arredondo » 23 Nov 2011 8:32

Hello experts:

I have an issue with my CTM Server, no matter how many times I restart my physical server or CTM Services, Gateway remains with "No sync" message on Configuration Manager.

I already tried to start gateway by stopping service in Task Manager and initialized it by using ecs_gtw -dc DATACENTER -force_dwl and I'm getting the exact same behavior,

I already tried stopping / starting Control-M Server, Control-M Server Configuration Agent, and nothing seems to be working, I'm getting this messages on gtw logs:

Hi,
This is a network problem beetween em server and controlm server.
Timeout are closing connexion.

Are you sure that communication are working on TCP port / TCP agent configuration port, and all ramdom communication port of em server components ?

Regards,
Philmalmaison

Components on the same box

Post by rich_arredondo » 28 Nov 2011 5:17

All of the components are on the same box (Server, EM and Agent), that's because this sounds really weird to me, no firewalls between and still getting the error.

SOLVED

Post by rich_arredondo » 29 Nov 2011 1:39

Thanks a lot for your support, but for any strange reason I could solve it by following this steps:

- Perform ecs_gtw -force_dwl -take_over
- It kept on downloading
- Perform ctmsuspend
- I leveled up the debug level for CO, CD and RT on Server Debug
- Placed the following parameters on Gateway under "Aditional Parameters": -dbg 3 -T 5
- Restarted all of the components and Gateway remained "Connected" again

After that I took off those parameters from Gateway, restarted my server and everything worked fine.
