Sending e-Mails with Control-M

Post by eche1984 » 15 May 2009 5:08

could you tell me where or how can I set the format of the subject and the message to send an email after the end of a job?

the subject appears like this:
Control-M Server: Shout by orderno: 000009up

and the message has a header like this:
Mail message from CONTROL-M

Thank You!!

- Click after Subject=<put your subject>
- Click after Msg=<put your message max 4000 characters>
- Click after Details=<put body of your message>

Hallo,
you must put the parameter "MAIL_ADD_SUBJECT_PREFIX N" in the config.bat from control_m server .
Then you can use your subject.

Regards
Vassilis

Hi!

You also may want to add the Sysouts as Attachments then you need to add the following parameter in config.dat file (if your env is unix) for Control-M/Server:

ADD_SYSOUT_TO_EMAIL A

At least the Applications responsibles and developers like it...

Hi
In the same subject

I would like to know if it's possible to insert variables in message body ??

I mean, I use the same Job in several machines.
This job is a "work around" which has to run in a error out conditions from at least 2 others differents jobs.

E.G

Job A
Job B
Job C
have a notok out-conditions as trigger for the Job D
And this for Server 1 Server 2 and Server 3

I would like to know if I can create a body mail like this

the job "%%job" is KO on the Server "%%server".

where %%job is for Job A B or C
and where %%server is for Server 1 2 or 3

Am I clear :?:
Thanks

PS : I do the mail through the DOMAIL in the steps
