EM desktop automatically updating nodeid to CAPS

We are facing a peculiar problem in EM desktop with jobs defined against a node xxxxxx.

When we open jobs defined against this against xxxxxx and simply try to close it, the node gets automatically updated to XXXXXX ( i.e. gets converted to CAPS) and EM asks if we want to save changes to the job. This is happening only for jobs against this particular agent.
Has anybody seen this before and have a fix for this ?

Our Platform is as follows

Server - 6.4.01.500
EM - 6.4.01.500

This particular agent xxxxx is also at 6.4.500.

We have seen the same issue in 6.3.01.500 whereby if you have both a lowercase entry and uppercase entry it defaults to the UPPER CASE version.

We also noted that priority was being set and start and end times were being populated with strange values.

We are running this through citrix. NB that not all users experience this.
