Not able to Define datacenter,.

Hello All experts,

I have installed one control-m server on Linux, Redhat and other control-m server on windows server and it has EM on it as well, what i am trying to do here is that i want to define control-m server on linux to define in CCM Client on windows server which i am not able to do, the error is " CMS Gate Discover Failed, Reason: discover attempt timed out. " i am trying to connect through the 2379 port which is not default port number by BMC. as confirmed there is no firewall between the windows server ( EMserver). should be define the port usgae in /etc/services on linux for configuration agent port number? or 2369,2370,2371 are these hard coded port number ?

any idea on this highly appreciated?

what is exactly the port number 2379 ?
Gateway connecxion or Config agent connexion?
probably you inverse them, and for discover process don't indicate the gateway port number but the conf agent port number from the control-m server :

2379 is config port, howwver this port is free at the ctmserver ,
I beleive this port should be listening all the time on ctmserver, right?

CTM Server configuration parameters :

2 - Control-M/EM TCP/IP Port Number [1025-65535] : 2380
3 - Interprocess Communication Port Number [1025-32767] : 6005
4 - Configuration Agent Port Number [1025-32767] : 2379

Before you click "Discover", make sure configuration agent is running. If you click "Define", enter the appropriate parameters.

Sorry for this late answer, yes the port number is not dynamic
