Post by niras » 18 Nov 2010 8:46

Hi-

we have a requirement to Poll an FTP folder and when file(s) present during the time, move them to a different FTP sub-folder and rename the file(s) with datatime stamp.

Please suggest the steps to carry in acheving this.

Control-M version- 6.4 on windows 2008

You did not specify if you want to move to a subfolder on the remote site or the local site but in order to move to a subfolder on the remote site you need rights from the site owner and you will need to transfer the file to to a local folder. Then on the right side of the transfer definition you select the advanced button. On the Genaeral tab for the after completion of successful transfer the source file will be MOVED and then define the folders and for the file name use the AFT rename options.

Example: \outgoing\archive\$$AFTFILE$$_%%$DATE.%%TIME.

The AFT rename options can be found in the AFT guide and consist of $$AFTFILE$$, $$AFTFILE_ALL$$, $$AFTFILE_EXT$$, & $$AFTFILE_NAME$$
