Question on conditions between MVS and Enterprise...

Post by JoPoCME » 06 Aug 2010 5:32

Ok, this may end up being a stupid question but I need to be able to explain myself correctly to those involved.

Situation:

Currently we have global conditions for the prefix MW and WM which have been working without issue. Now we've been asked to have Enterprise recognize a condition such as, CICS-PERS-DOWN from the MVS. So, I told them that they would have to add a condition, MW-CICS-PERS-DOWN, in order for Enterprise to recognize it. They don't want to do this so I tried adding CICS as a prefix in the global conditions and created a dummy job to test it out. Unfortunately it did not work.

Now the CICS condition on mainframe has STAT in the date but Enterprise does have STAT in the drop-down and the IN condition in the dummy job also had STAT.

So why is it I can't make CICS a prefix for a global condition? Is there someplace else that I'm suppose to add the CICS prefix so that it is picked up by Enterprise?

Hi JoPoCME,

I dont know which is your Control-M EM version.

On the Control-M EM 6.3 you can define new prefix in TOOLS / GLOBAL CONDITION

Best Regards
