hi,
for a short while we are experiencing problems when trying to connect to our EM manager fro controlm. when trying to open a viewpoint it just keeps trying to connect and it gives the message that the request is sent to server but it doesn't open any viewpoint. when i look into the logfiles of ECS i find following message:

30/05/2007 14:24:16.035 [1] ecsdoc CECSDoc::OnCloseDocument caught corba exception, Trying to reconnect...USER_NOT_FOUND

30/05/2007 14:25:50.731 [1] mainfrm CECSApp::KeepAlive Failed in keep alive, trying to reconnect...

30/05/2007 14:25:50.781 [1] ecsdoc CECSDoc::OnCloseDocument caught corba exception, Trying to reconnect...USER_NOT_FOUND

Can anybody help

no, we don't.

it is just a laptop with xp from which a user connect to controlm-em when he is on call.

when he log on to controlm-em on a desktop he has got no issues.

check if you have correct fixpacks installed on GUI side (same as installed on server)

apparently the fix was simple, we just had to disable the windows firewall of the clients laptop. after he had changed this it was all working again.

The problem is the win xp firewall, check if is active and if so deactive it from services.

We have the same issue.
When we removed Oracle virtual box the problem was solved.
