Generate Flow diagram from CTM

Post by klethere » 12 Feb 2009 5:39

Hi,

Has anyone ever been able to find a way to generate a flow diagram from Control-M as I need to create a doc of all the jobs and want to see if there's a quicker way of doing it rather than manually

I know there was a way of creating a poster but want something slick and thought that maybe someone has some code that read the XML and generated a flow in EXCEL or VISIO or similar...

any suggestion would be very useful

One of my colleagues had a successful experience with yEd to produce Control-M flow diagrams: http://www.yworks.com/en/products_yed_about.html

Hi

Go to see VisualJob from APS Enterprise.
That tools is dedicated to run with Control-m definition, and you will obtain a way to extract information and generate graphic diagram ready to be save in several format.

Do you have any more info on yED? I've downloaded it but i think it will need converting to using XSLT - do you have that?

valoche, I would be highly interested in understanding how your colleague was able to accomplish this.

Would it be possible to share?
