DoMail with parameter

Post by explorer256 » 06 Jun 2007 11:41

Hi!! I'm a beginner,
It's possible to use some parameter with the command DoMail?
For example I want to insert in the subject of the mail a test composed
by normal test + the content of a parameter
in this way " text...." + parameter + " text...."

thanks in advance
Pietro

Using Autoedit variable it's possible to add some parameter in your subject.

example

To obtain following message :
Error message number 1254 - Serveur CTM01 is down

Here is the Do Mail syntax :
Error message number 1254 - Serveur %%NODEID is down

Of course you can use your defined variables.

In the subject you can add autoedit variables that you want.
System variables like %%ODATE or variables defined by you in some other job (global variables) or in the same job (local variables).

In the subject window ad the variable in this manner:

-----------------------------------------
This is a control-m automatic e-mail

"%%JOBNAME" DATE: "%%ODATE"
terminated with errors "%%NameVar"
------------------------------------------

Is important to put che " " !!!

have a good day
