Job name on auditing

Post by Nancy » 13 Nov 2008 5:41

Hi there,

I have a job named A.bat which needs to be invoked. However, I have defined the same job with a name JOB A in the Job Editing Form.

Can anyone please tell me which name would be reflected in the Audit report. Whether A.bat or JOB A ?

Thanks in advance.

I see a little confusion...
;-))

JOB A is the JOBNAME that run the A.bat script in a path of the nodeid machine.
A.bat is the memName/Filename that you execute

So you can find the same job or looking for the JOBNAME or the MEMNAME.

Appreciate your answer Mauriziog.

Yes,JOB A is the name of the job that runs the script called A.bat .
So shall i get the name JOB A in the auditing form?

For more simplicity, can we add a FUNCTIONAL NAME to the actual name of the job which will be reflected in the audit report?

Yes, you can and the "logical" is that (also in group and application...).
