Hi,
How many jobs can Control-M run per day? Is there a suggested limit for each CTM Server?

Rumours seem to suggest 20,000 jobs per CTM server per day.

Thanks

We are running nearly 90,000 jobs per day on one data center (Control-M server). We are running Control-M 6.3 on UNIX with an Oracle 10 database. Most of these are short running cyclic jobs. Most are running on just two agents.

We did run into an issue a couple of years ago where we had to convert the agent connections from transient to persistent in order to handle the volume. (per BMC recommendations on numerious severity 1 outage calls.)

Depends on the server used but you should also bear in mind that "not all jobs are created equal" ... if your job uses priorities, lots of in/out conditions, calendars, resources and sets lots of variables then you'll find it loads the system a lot more than running a simple command line.

Most people find that the length of the User Daily becomes an issue before the server capacity.
