We have been facing with peculiar problem with our PeopleSoft jobs (PS8). The problem :- On Control-M when any PS8 job run, then and there we check the psftcm diag and it shows CM is running. After some time, when one of our PS8 job starts to run, it fails in Control-M though PS team check process monitor for the PSUNX version of the same job, it shows success at their end but in Control-M it shows fail and we check with psftcm diag which then shows CM not running but comes up after few seconds.
I have asked the BMC regarding the same and they are pushing for non-Control M problem. I kind of disagree with them, because if this has been the case then it should have been with all set of peoplsoft jobs and why with just one job.
In January the Concurrent Requests Limit was increased from 20 to 50 (max limit is 300), the Connection Restore Retries was increased from 2 to 9 and in March after the CM fixpack 3 was applied it was increased to 100. There is one other parameter that was not increased from the default value, Concurrent Active Connections Limit set at 10 (max limit is 50).
If anybody ever faced such scenerio ?
