Integrating Auto-Operator and Control-M Enterprise Manager
We are new users of the Control-M for MVS, and Enterprise Manager. At the present time, we use a BMC product called Auto-Operator, to trap batch and/or system related abends on the Mainframe. Once an abend is encountered, it routes details of the abend to TelAlert, which then handles the notification piece. TelAlert is also used for escalation as well. Somehow, I need to trap a failure in Enterprise Manager and pass the failure message to Auto-Operator, so it follows the normal flow of notification and escalation. Does anyone have any ideas? If I can some how send a message to the System Log on MVS, I can use Auto-Operator to trap it.
