ctmjsa

Post by ajomarquez » 04 Mar 2010 6:45

I recently took over a Control-M Admin position, so I have been researching some of the ctm maintenance jobs that we have running each night.

One job, ctmjsa, doesn't appear to be doing anything. The command line is.../opt/controlm/ctm/exe_HP-UX-11/ctmjsa "*"

That is the only data that is placed into the sysout for that job (the command line info).

We are running server v6.1.

Ok...after reading a little more on this utility, maybe it shouldn't provide any data in a sysout. The ctmjsa utility records the data into a summary table in the CM Server database (which is how the "statistical" data is then available to use when we use the "Statistics" option when we righ-click on a job).

Is this correct?

That's right to an extent - the ctmjsa utility collects statistics information and works out the average runtimes of jobs. Without it, you will still get the statistics from the last twenty jobs but you won't get the average run time and cpu time.
