How much minimum size need for Control-M installation.

Hi Gopikkd,

depending on:
- witch version of Control-M want you to install?
- on witch OS you want to install Control-M Server and Control-M EM?
- whitch DB want to use (Oracle - Sysbase - or SQL)?
- how many job will run a day in your prevision?

Hi Gopi,

following the requirement

Control-M 6.3:

UNIX REQUIREMENT

Hardware
AIX IBM RISC System/6000
Note: For Oracle installations, hardware must be 64-bit.

HP-UX HP 9000/700 or HP 9000/800.
Note: For Oracle installations, hardware must be 64-bit.

Solaris Sun SPARCstation
Note: For Oracle installations, hardware must be 64-bit.
Linux Intel Pentium 32 bit

Memory
CONTROL-M/Server with Oracle
Recommended:
1 GB RAM for the first 10,000 jobs. Add 60 MB for each additional 10,000 jobs processed on a daily basis.
Minimum: 512 MB RAM

Diskspace
CONTROL-M/Server files on AIX
522 MB for a new installation.

CONTROL-M/Server files on HP-UX
277 MB for a new installation.

CONTROL-M/Server files on Solaris
239 MB for a new installation


ORACLE REQUIREMENT

Oracle 10 server Version 10.1.0.x Existing or Installing before installation
Oracle 10 client Version 10.1.0.x

Note:
An Oracle Database Server version 10.1.0.1, 10.1.0.2, or 10.1.0.3 on AIX,
Solaris, or HP-UX is not compatible with any Oracle client on Linux.

An Oracle Database Server version 10.1.0.1, 10.1.0.2, or 10.1.0.3 on Linux is
not compatible with any Oracle client on AIX, Solaris, or HP-UX.


Database diskspace
3 GB for the Oracle Server, and 400 MB in the tmp directory.
Database
¦ Small: 1.1 GB
¦ Medium: 1.45 GB
¦ Large: 2.3 GB
