Calculations
You can base your calculations only on number os 'script' to develop. This install process of agents is very simple. It's recommendable to make a list of all functionalities to implement and verify the compelxity of each one as low, medium or high. Considerate a low complexity as 2 days, medium comp...

Hi
DO not use this table, connect to EMUSER database (not CTM). Localize your active net name from :
SELECT active_net_name INTO vactive_netname
FROM emuser.comm ;
with this vactive_netname, localize the tabla X${vactive_netname}JOB and make you select on this table.

Hola
Compañeros, Control-M realmente no se loguea con el usuario y no ejecuta el profile del usuario. Al ejecutar un comando del sistema operativo con el job tipo 'command', debes incluir el path del comando, si no no funciona.

Try this...
Create a job to run 'ctmpsm' utility
Use a filter to retrieve specific job informacion (may be 'grep')
Get start and end information for a job and create a new job
using 'ctmcreate', add your own PARM as inicial and end time retrieved.

Current Control-M Server version : v6.3.01 on AIX.
Can i have some agents in Linux Centos ?, and they are 100% compatible. I read sometime that Control-M agent have problems with Linux Centos.

recomendation
It's not recommendable use the re-run option with cyclic jobs.
Another solution is create a single job, define the rerun option as you know but indicate the parameter maximum_rerun to prevent indefine cycles of re-execution in case of general errors.

Try this to delete conditions.
Do not use a dummy, use a command job:
In job definition, type the command :
ctmcontb -deletefrom "*" %%A %%B
run this job using 'ctmag63' user.
Parameters A & B may be initial and ending date to delete conditions.
Read more about this using help in ctmcontb command.

it's clear now
Thank for your replys. I try to explain to all how Control-M licensing Works: 1) Licensing by jobs 2) Licensing by cpu usage In the first case, you can buy packs of 1000, 10000, 20000, 50000 8O jobs, or the number of jobs you plan to install in your company. so, this is the limit of jobs you can exe...

About security
Hi Hubba, my recommendation is not to tun jobs as root. This user must be used only by the administrator of UNIX infrastructure. Is very dangerous to give this super power user to commonly users.
Please try to 'organize' your secure policies before try to restrict root user.

DRP Implementation
I, we just implement DRP including Control-M after 1 year of test. My recomendations : - Weekly, export xml schemas of your batch window (tables). - Install binaries from original CD in the DRP machines - Install your agents in the DRP dependents machines - Start up Ctm on DRP (0 jobs) - Upload your...
