Re: Minimum space for control-m agent

The recomended disk spage is in the installation guide: for v9 is 2Gb. But depends, as Fyot says, on how many jobs you execute on that agent and how many days you retain sysouts and logs on it (history). Set agent parameters in manner to have allarms on space left and avoid disk space full incidents...

Re: Force complete a schedule on certain return codes - z/os

Hi orangebonce, at job level is possible to set ok when ther is a return codes. Your question seems like to do a clean in the AJF for many jobs notok. In this case is possible to do in AJF from EM the set to ok or the delete (better because set to ok add outcondition that remain dirty) but... NOT fo...

Re: Run AFT without enabling ftp service on agents

The AFT module is a FTP client. So to transfer a file from a server to another one you need: - on one server the AFT module - on the other a FTP server (and no agent installed). For unix machines the server ftp (SSH) is always installed, for windows machines a server ftp is needed. In this case only...

Re: Learn Control-M Installtion & Upgrade

Re: Why my VAR set by ctmvar in PRECMD has wrong value?

Hi ynk,

using ctmvar to set variable in this case is a nonsense: set the variable in the autoedit/variable panel, is done for this --> use it.
Also to set variable in another/previous job to set variable used by another one ....

Re: Auto Edit Variable for Abend Count

From version 8 in do-action ther is a specific do for this:
-------------
ON. "Job's number of failures"=2
DO notification MAIL
-------------

In previous versions I do this with some tricks setting variables and checking them, but now is not necessary.

Re: Open Multiple XML files in EMV7

The xml are like local backups in files, so the merge can be only manual.

The version 8 and 9, introducing workspaces and improving "find and update" tool resolve in many cases the needs the work with xml.

Re: How to post a job from a job that's currently executing

The BIM job do this in a flexible manner, defined at "flow side" (the bim job mantain under control the flow were is attached).

The other solution, without BIM, is to use the method well described by Walty (defined at "job side").
