Re: ctm menu: command not found

Ho Geordie, You lost the .cshrc and .controlm files. Or maybe the control-m server user cannot read them. Check if they are in control-m server user directory and the the permissions. Even send the output from the env command. If the file are deleted you have to create them and put the right environ...

These can be other ideas:
1) There is a job with command ctmping to old hosts
2) Maybe there are jobs in Control/M Server deleted from Control/M EM.

check jobs

Hi,
I experienced something similar, but there was jobs with old agents on node id.
Try to export all scheduling tables in an xml file and find the agent name. Check even if job is not scheduled.

Does sysout file exists?

Are you sure there is the correct sysout file?
The file name should be: <jobname>_<orderID>_<runcount>.dat.
Check if the correct file exists.
If yes, you could not have the right permission to read sysout files.

Query on database

Hi, You can query the cmr_ajf table on the Control/M Server database. SELECT applgroup, nodeid, memname, odate, startrun, endrun, jobname, applic, cast(endrun as bigint) - cast(startrun as bigint) as seconds_elapsed FROM cmr_ajf order by seconds_elapsed desc LIMIT 10 ; You can schedule the query just befor...

Try ag_diag_comm

Maybe the problem is that the communication is not complete.
Try the command ag_diag_comm on the agent and send us the output.
Can send us even the agent version and operating system?
Thanks,
Fabrizio

Hi GrandSteph, You can try a solution with 4 jobs: JOB A, JOB B, JOB C and "JOB B dummy". You should run JOB B and JOB C dummy in different days and set this in IN CONDITION definition: ( JOB_B-ENDED AND JOB_C-ENDED) OR (JOB_C-ENDED AND JOB_B_dummy-ENDED). The tricks is to schedule job B and JOB B d...

Hi rombapa, I think tilde doesn't work inside scripts. Control/M Agent create a temporary script when it execute command "ls ~". So tilde is not translated to home directory. Use $HOME instead. You can try this: in the job's Command parameter you can set this: ls -l ~; sleep 120; Then you run the jo...

I think the only solution is to schedule a batch job or launch report via web service or create a vbscript/c# program.
The Control/M for Databases support SSIS, not SSRS.

Hi, If you have full security set to NO, Control/M check only users/groups in Control/M EM system (During NDP and when ordering jobs). If you set full security to YES, you must also configure security on the Control/M Server side. You must configure scheduling table security and job security. You ca...

Hi, I'm using Control/M Web Access with a CTM 6.4 environment. It's a simple php site installed with an apache server. I'm using on a HP-UX os, but I think it can be installed even on Windows. It is basically a ctmpsm utility online with a spartan interface. I think it's free. Control/M Self Service...

Maybe you can check Owner tab. If it is empty, the user can read from Control/M with Desktop, but cannot write to EM. He can upload, but Control/M Server reject request because scheduling table is up to date. So support user can order jobs (Jobs tab and scheduling table tab), but he cannot modify jo...

Hi,
The KM for Control/M check the job status and state from the CMR_AJF table.
You can try to use BMC PATROL Knowledge Module for Log Management.

Hi, You can set permissions in the Authorization form. You find it in Control/M Desktop or Control/M EM GUI under Tools menu. You can create users/groups and assign permissions to them. The quote from CTM User guide is to set in "Scheduling tables" detail tab. This is the path: Tools --> Authorizati...
