when you open up a viewpoint, did you select 'all jobs' or 'all active jobs'?

all active jobs sounds like the one you want.

i've seen control-m open random ports between 1060 and 33005, yeah lets create a massive security hole in our network by allowing half of all the possible TCP connections through.... mmm yeah real secure.

as i Said behind a firewall best to use STATIC or range or ports.

13075 + RANDOM ports for: Configuration Manager, Desktop and EM GUI as the diagram above shows .

BUT....

If you're behind a firewall it's best to define static ports or a range of ports using orbconfigure (Domain Configuration) and create allow rules on the firewall for these ports.

Port 13075 is the default CORBA port that Control-M uses to tell Control-M client where Control-M/EM components are. This applies to versions 6.3 and 6.4. example: when run the applcaition say the Control-M Configuration Manager and specify port 13075 and hostname. It will retrieve the name of the C...

The Agents get installed with Control-M/Server in 6.4. when you are in configuration manager (this is a good because EM components are up and working) you need to set all the components desired state (gui, gas, gcs, gateways, control-m servers, and agents )to ignore because the windows cluster takes...

As no support is done by BMC Software, you have to do all alone, regarding on your system implementation. regards Philmalmaison Actually I worked very closely with BMC to resolve this problem and they spent quite some time with me. BMC are big on virtualisation so it was in their interest to help m...

1. install Control-m/EM & Server, do I login to the virtual Name (e.g. VEMServer) instead of login to node A?

Use the virtual name. though you can use node name, the point of the cluster is to use a virtual name so that it points what ever node is active.

Hi mimimomo, I have successfully installed this solution as described. The thing is with Windows clustering on vmware is the shared disk is very vulnerable to corruption. Be very weary of which is the active node when it comes to restarting or powering off machines as this will almost result in disk...

Installing Control-M 6.4 onto a Virtual Cluster (VMware)

Hi all, Has anybody successfully installed Control-M 6.4 (PostgreSQL) Enterprise Manager, Server and Agent all on a VMware Cluster of two nodes (Windows Server 2003)? I've used these instructions to create my windows cluster in VMware. I then tried to follow the instructions in Control-M 6.4 install...
