Hi,

Does anyone know how to set alert prompting for the situation when one job fails to be ordered into Control-M/EM?

The job name better indicating in the alert.

The best would be to run a scheduled job that reads the ControlM log, looking for the job you need with the appropriate odate. If you simply look for possible failures, there are many; so rather look for the message that the job was successfully ordered.
I don't know your platform, but if z/OS use DFSORT; if open systems use grep (to do searching).
