Hi all,

We are planing control-m server fail-over, Kindly let me know what are the initial steps need to be followed before fail-over

FYI:

1. Our fail-over step-up is Control-m server database mirror fail-over.

2. Our Control-M set-up consists of following

a. Server A (active) has both control-M EM server and Control-M Server
b. Server B (inactive) which has similar set-up

3. In over set-up server A Control-M server database is Mirrored with Servers B Control-M server Database.

kindly let me know what are the configuration step need to be followed before making the failover on EM side as well on Server side on Server B

I used the same failover on AIX using HACMP.

I implemented EM failover by periodically exporting the EM database, copy it on the passive node and import it. It is really enought to do it once per day or even once per week (as I do).
