Hi to all.

Where indicated the number of alerts you want to appear in the aplications the alerts.

There are some parameters and where I can find to change, because I listed 108, and I want you to appear more, to keep alert days ago.

Thanks to all.

Hy,
why don't you use the EM scripts done for that ?
Erase Alerts Usage
This utility deletes all alerts posted prior to the specific hour and date from the
CONTROLM/EM database.

Use one of the two options:

1. erase_alerts -U <user> -P <password> [-D <date> ] [-H <hour> ] [-F]
where
date : YYYYMMDD or YYMMDD format
hour : 0 - 23
Note: If date or hour are missing, then the current date/hour will be used.
-F: Forces the deletion without confirmation.

2. erase_alerts -I
A prompts is displayed requesting the date, hour and password.

and just after that do a refresh from the GAS as follow:

ecs ctl -U ${user} -P ${pass} -C GAS -M `uname -n` -name ${gas} -cmdstr "REFRESH"

Regards,
Philmalmaison

The number of alerts is configurable thu the systems parameters of the CCM or Admin Facility.

Hi- I am also looking for the settings that control the no of days the Alerts are maintained in Database or EM Alert window.

Currently we observed a pattern of alerts being maintained for the last 18 days.(i.e we have them from 01/20 till today(2/6))

I have tweaked below system parameters from general type to see if it makes a difference and perhaps it doesn't work for what I am looking for

MaxDaysAlertsRetained
NrHandledAlarms

I have 6.4 version in windows environment

Pls suggest if any

Thankyou
